Program Leader: Kyle Hudson
Program Description: The YAPA Kids French program will provide students with the necessary skills and resources to know how to speak, write, and read French. Activities include projects exploring French culture, essays, mini-speeches and many more. Students will be placed in classes based on their experience level, so whether they are already half-fluent or just starting out, we will be there with them to ensure they learn in a comfortable environment. The program’s difficulty levels will progress as time goes on to fit the student’s learning capabilities. Learning French is a challenging endeavor, but is extremely rewarding in the end. The program is open to all students in grades 1 through 8 and no experience is required. We hope to see you join us as we share our knowledge of French!

Aditi Venkatraman
Hi everyone! My name is Aditi Venkatraman. I am the lead for YAPA Kids' French program and a rising junior at Prospect High School. I started learning French in 8th grade and have been on a journey to become fluent in the language ever since. In the past 3 years, I have earned awards in Le Grand Concours (“The Grand Competition” - a national French competition) and have been involved in my school’s French Honor Society, where I gained experience tutoring kids in French 1 and 2 (beginning and intermediate levels). Learning French has been an extremely rewarding experience so far and I hope it will be the same for you!
Adhya Krishnamurthy
Hey! My name is Adhya Krishnamurthy and I am a rising sophomore at Cupertino High School. This is my third year of taking French at school and I've had the chance to participate and win awards in the NFC (National French Competitions) as well. I also ran my middle school's French club! I really look forward to teaching you guys about French culture and the language too :))
Pragya Natarajan
Salut! My name is Pragya Natarajan and I am an incoming sophomore at Cupertino High School. I've been learning French since 7th grade and have completed French 1 and French 2. I have taken French 1 in two separate years in 1a and 1b so my foundation is very strong. I have participated in the Le Grand Concours and gotten a silver medal in it, and I'm very passionate about French. Especially french songs. I'll love teaching you guys with songs and fun!
Tinu Tope-Awofeko
Enchanté! Je m'appelle Tinu, I'm currently a senior, and I have been learning (and continue to learn) French since grade 1. I love this language almost as much as I love croissants, and I am just as passionate about teaching French as I am learning it. Even if 'foie gras' or 'escargot' aren't your thing, I highly urge you to sign up for this class because learning French can be a very fun process if you try! Bonne chance :)

Bonjour! My name is Henna Chawla and I am a rising sophomore at Homestead High School. I have completed French 1 & 2 these past two years and can't wait to learn more! I enjoy listening to french songs and I even try to translate the lyrics in my head! French is a really beautiful language and it’s been a great experience for me. I am so excited to be teaching this to you guys :))

Hi my name is Phani Chunduru, a rising sophomore at Cupertino High School, and I am looking forward to teaching French. I have made many French delicacies in my spare time and enjoy eating them as much as baking them. I am also moving on to French 3 in highschool and started French as a middle schooler at Lawson Middle School.

Hi! My name is Aidan Idekar, a rising junior at La Jolla Country Day School in San Diego, CA. A devoted francophile, I have studied the language for 4 years, culminating in AP French last year. I plan on studying french for my final two years of high school as well as into college. Although French is a difficult language to learn and master, its beauty and complexity more than make up for the years that it takes to learn. As they say "Qui veut peut-" if there is a will, there's a way. C'est parti!

Salut! Je m'appelle Miya Liu and I was first introduced to French when my mom started speaking it to me as a baby. I found a passion for it in middle school when I discovered that it was more than just grammar and vocabulary, but a rich, diverse culture spanning across the entire world. I completed AP French this past year at Homestead High School as a junior.
