Program Description: YAPA Kids Spanish introduces students to all the basic information needed to be able to read, write, understand, and speak Spanish. Regardless of your skill level, our knowledgeable teachers can help you learn the vocabulary, phonetics, and grammar necessary for the Spanish language. Whether you barely know anything or are already taking a class at school, we can help you get you started on your journey to becoming fluent in Spanish. Classes are divided by skill level, each designed to teach the language engagingly and effectively. The overall class can include material ranging from basic sounds and numbers to reading comprehension and paragraph writing. Students in grades 1 through 8 are welcome to join and experience the joy of learning Spanish!

Hi everyone! My name is Aishwarya Vadivel, and I am the program lead for Spanish here at YAPA Kids! I am a rising junior at Cupertino High School and am currently taking Spanish 4 Honors this year. I have always been passionate about Spanish and learning the different cultural and historical aspects of the language. I am an active member of the Spanish Honor Society at my school, and also took the National Spanish Exam recently. I’ve spent a year tutoring children ages 5-14 in math and English, as well as 2 years teaching kids my mother tongue. I look forward to working with you and getting you started on your journey to being fluent in Spanish!
¡Hola! I'm Clarissa Li, and I'm a rising junior at Lynbrook High School. I have been taking Spanish classes since seventh grade, and I am also part of my school's Spanish Honor Society. Knowing Spanish is honestly a useful skill, as you are bound to encounter some Spanish in everyday life, so even knowing some basic vocabulary can boost your understanding by leagues. I look forward to teaching you guys Spanish and all its wondeful applications!

¡Hola todos! Me llamo Alison Castro. I am currently a junior at Gabrielino High School. I have been studying this language since the 5th grade and I love it! I am currently in Native Spanish for speakers 2 and it is so amazing! I also love teaching my friends and family members the proper grammar and vocabs which will later on benefit them in the future. I hope to bring not just help but a fun bonding experience with you all and the students!

Unfortunately my school doesn't offer spanish but The language to me was very interesting so I took it upon myself to teach myself online.
