Program Description: This YAPA Kids history program allows students to explore the past and navigate the complexities and nuances of history. The course teaches past events from a global perspective, so there will always be something new to discover. Through fun games and reenactments, students will sharpen their historical thinking skills, which include analyzing primary source documents and drawing parallels to the present day. Instead of just teaching the facts, local high schoolers will tell engaging stories to kindle a love for history. All you need is a desire to learn, and with that, you’ll be on your way to becoming a great historian!

Hi! My name is Andy Fung, and I'm going to be a high school senior for the 2021-22 school year. My interest in history began when my dad started talking to me about how my family came from China to America. Since then, I've taken the AP World History and AP US History exams and have done my own reading in my spare time. I hope that I'll be able to give the best history experience to my students- see you soon!
Hey guys! My name is Olivia Song and I am rising junior at Moreau Catholic High School. I have always loved history since middle school in 8th grade, where I had an amazing history teacher teaching us! When I was in freshman year, we didn't get to have a history class but now I am in Honors World History, with an A! I love reading history and learning about it. Next year I will be taking APUSH. I hope that my level of skill in this subject will help you all understand history better than before! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me any questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability!!

I will also be taking AP US History in the coming school year. I have been a fanatic of history since a very young age and have read books and taken as many classes to learn about all types of history from a variety of time periods. I am very fluent in American and European history along with its impacts on the greater world, but I am still knowledgeable and well rounded in most of the worlds history. I can't wait to get on board with helping students learn the wonders of world history!

It is the story of how we got to where we are today. It is the story of how people think and how they act. It tells the tale of society. I look forward to teaching in class!
Hello! I'm Kira O'Gorman, and I'm a rising senior at Canyon Crest Academy. From a young age I have been captivated by history, especially ancient civilizations! I've taken AP World History, AP US History, and AP European History. I think it's particularly important to analyze history from different angles in order to find an unbiased version of the story, but paying attention to prejudices from several sides also provides valuable insight to how the story/event evolved. I had some amazing history teachers and I'm excited to pass on what I've experienced to you!
