Program Leader: Himani Sharma

Program Description: The Yapa Kids Hindi program will introduce you to a language spoken by 350+ million people world wide. You'll learn about alphabets, words, famous stories, and poems. Activities will include phonetics, grammar, sentence construction, storytelling and much more. In this class you will not only learn about the language but also a culture that is over 5000 years old! All experience levels are welcome!

Himani Sharma

Namaste! My name is Himani Sharma, and I am currently a sophmore at Cupertino High School. Hindi is my mother tongue and I have gone to India many times, as well as had the opportunity to practice speaking with many experienced people. In my free time I love to listen to Hindi songs, and watch Hindi tv shows and movies. It is a beautiful language, and I am so excited to share it with all of you

Mansa Devaki

Namaste everyone! My name is Mansa and I'm a sophomore at Seabury Hall in Maui. Hindi is my first language, and I think that it's a very beautiful one. I go to India every year so I hope I can teach everyone all that I have learned by listening to native speakers. I'm very excited to teach Hindi to all of you!

Megha Agarwal

Namaste! My name is Megha Agarwal, and a junior at Cupertino High School. I have been part of Hindi classes for several years and am very experienced with the pace of teaching this language. Hindi is my family language so I have a very strong base! In my spare time, I love to watch Hindi shows and movies! I am so excited to share my knowledge and experience in this language with all of you!

Pallavi Sharma

Namaste! My name is Pallavi and I am a Junior at Cupertino High School. I am super happy and excited to be your childs hindi teacher! I went to hindi school for about 2 years and I also speak it at home on a daily basis! Let's have fun learning this beautiful language!

Datta Kansal

Namaste! My name is Datta Kansal and I'm a sophomore at Cupertino High School. My mother tongue is Hindi and I can read, write and speak Hindi fluently. I lived in India for 8 years and I studied Hindi thoroughly there. I'm very excited to share my passion for this unique and amazing language with you all!

Swati Iyer

Namaste! My name is Swati Iyer, I am currently a junior in Fremont High School. I have learnt Hindi(structurally) for many years, it is my second language and I have had the opportunity to communicate with more experienced people-having visisted India more than once every year!

Harleen Kaur

Namaste! My name is Harleen and I am a senior at Parkway South high school in St. Louis, Missouri. I was born in India and I love to travel. I speak both Hindi and Punjabi and German as well. I love watching Bollywood movis and listening to songs. I am glad to teach kids about their culture and language.
