What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
My favorite part of being a teacher is being able to connect with students and building a bond with them while learning. It’s pretty cool seeing them finally understand what you’re teaching and participating in class discussions.
What do you enjoy about teaching here at YAPA Kids?
I enjoy being able to teach with other teachers and constantly finding new ways to make the class more engaging. You get to work with other teachers that you probably have never met before and build strong relationships with them. There’s also several initiatives that you can be a part of that does not always have to include teaching.
What have you learned from teaching kids/at YAPA Kids?
I learned that by being part of YAPA, you are always being held accountable for something such as preparing the curriculum you will be teaching to your students. At the same time, there’s also a lot of teamwork when working with other teachers and a lot of improvising on the spot when something goes unexpected. You’ll just gradually grow and learn overtime honestly.
