About me
I am a junior at Cupertino High School, and as the Director of Student Growth, I manage the Student Growth Team, approving and executing any ideas that could increase the number of students we have and increase student satisfaction. I also guide the creation of new programs, checking up on them to ensure that they are running smoothly.
Why do you like helping out YAPA Kids?
I appreciate the intent behind YAPA Kids: teaching people online to make up for struggles in school. Especially over COVID-19, regular education has become much more difficult, and thus, the creation of YAPA Kids strove to solve that problem. As someone who had started up a tutoring organization of my own during COVID for similar reasons, I really enjoy what I'm doing at YAPA Kids because it aligns with my interests and allows me to make a huge impact on my community.
What have you learned from your experiences at YAPA Kids?
From teaching at YAPA Kids, I really built my confidence and my ability to teach skillfully. By teaching a diverse set of age groups and designing curriculum for them, I really expanded my skillset and became a much more robust person.
