What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
My favorite part of being a teacher is my students. I love their curiosity and their eagerness to learn. I love seeing the different perspectives they take to concepts I teach them. Watching their brains process the information and retain it in unique ways is fascinating and so fun to watch.
What do you enjoy about teaching here at YAPA Kids?
YAPA kids has given me the opportunity to teach from my house and share my knowledge with people on different sides of the US. I am able to teach courses that are not available in any other program, making it possible for me to be able to teach what I love to learn. Yapa Kids also finds students who want to learn which makes teaching them so much more enjoyable.
What have you learned from teaching kids/at YAPA Kids?
I learned how to conduct a class and think on the spot, as well as convey my knowledge in a way that makes it easy to understand. Conducting a class is not as easy as it seems and I had trouble trouble at first, but then I learned how to get them to participate and play games. Also, I learned how to explain myself using analogies and other methods so that it is easy for the students to understand.
